NEW YORK CITY, New York, July 8, 2026 –
Alta, the AI stylist and shopping app, has been shortlisted in the Creative Data category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity—one of advertising’s most prestigious global honors. This recognition comes a little over a year after Alta launched on the App Store, where it has ranked at the top in multiple countries, maintained a 4.9 rating, and been featured on Good Morning America.
The Creative Data category honors work that uses data in inventive ways to solve business or creative problems, a fitting home for Alta, whose AI stylist turns a user’s physical wardrobe into a fully digital, styleable closet using computer vision and image segmentation.
For the first time, Alta makes wardrobe digitization and styling both scalable and accessible. The idea of the digital closet has been a cultural fascination for decades, memorably depicted in films like Clueless, but the technology wasn’t advanced enough until recently.
Studies show that 80% of the average person’s closet goes unworn, while people still spend significant time each day deciding what to wear and continue to purchase new items. Earlier attempts at digital wardrobe tools struggled to accurately categorize a user’s closet or deliver intelligent, personalized styling.
